Turning on the TV
Press the power button to turn the TV on
Switching sources
Use the Source button on the remote (top-right) to switch sources as necessary.
Sources are named sensibly, so are easy to identify:
- The HDMI cable provided for BYOD is called BYOD HDMI (HDMI1)
- The Windows PC is called PC (HDMI2)
- The Apple TV is called Apple TV (HDMI3)
- The AirPlay source built into the TV is simply called The Boardroom (this differs from the Apple TV, which is called aTV - Jane)
AirPlay streaming (to the TV directly)
Whilst you can use the Apple TV to AirPlay content to, you can also just AirPlay directly to the TV itself.
To do so:
- Ensure that your iOS device is connected to the wi-fi network Individual Restaurants or Individual Restaurants Mac (password is omitted here for security reasons, but ask a member of staff if required)
- Connect your device to the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV or AirPlay 2-compatible smart TV.
- Find the video you want to stream.
- Tap AirPlay . In some apps, you may need to tap a different button first. For example, in the Photos app, tap Share , then tap AirPlay .
- Choose your Apple TV or AirPlay 2-compatible smart TV.
